In traveling around the country and promoting my book to various professional audiences, one question keeps re-occurring: “Regardless of Cost, what would be the three best marketing tools worth investing in?” After serious consideration, I came up these three suggestions:
- Always have a proper floor plan of each property drawn that looks crisp, clean and includes any renovations which have been done and a direction indicator; also draw in the streets that the property abuts.
- Never forget the simplest and most low-tech marketing tool: a postal card to the residents in the neighborhood, with a photo of the property and a “Just Listed” or “just Sold” message on it. Be certain to include all of your contact info.
- Make yourself available to give presentations to various community groups, clubs, and professional organizations.
A wise thought worth keeping in mind in all of your business dealings, since it will be how you will be remembered:
